Princesa de Los Sitios

ENGLISH VERSION BELOW

“I wonder whether the stars are set alight in heaven so that one day each one of us may find his own again.”
Antoine de Saint -Exupéry (1943)

Los Sitios is a poor neighborhood, a tough neighborhood, and yes, it is a happy neighborhood. The old ceilings rumble to the rhythm of a drum that never stops; behind every ochre corner a rush of colors confronts you. Los Sitios inhabits a dimension where imagination evades reality and sneaks between the cracks of the walls worn by hurricanes and many years. Its people wear a naked dignity, dream of achieving things, and their energy invites others to dream.

The children of Los Sitios also dream, create worlds of fantasy, swim in it as little tadpoles, alien to problems and feed on it. They dream, they play, and they create. In their own stories, they are princesses, brave princes, and the witch, playing all their characters themselves.

But this is not a princess story. This is the story of a girl who conquers her right to be a child through her imagination, a story she led and enjoyed, a story that tells you that obstacles or scarceness, rarely get to stain the unpolluted goodness of a child.

“With this series, I invite you to dream. Follow the signs, look for your star.”
Mia Chang Quesada (2020)

Princes of Los Sitios is the creative conceptualization of Mia Chang Quesada. She storyboarded and executed all aspects of her concept of a child princess who creates by imagining. The post has been authored by Leysis Quesada Vera based on Mia’s vision to inspire all other little princesses out there — a vision to dream and look for your star.
